My guilty pleasure

No, it's not watching Desperate Housewives. I find it quite amusing to click through my friends TOP 8 profiles on MySpace. Originally, I would look for new music I liked, but now it's just fun, especially when you get 5-6 tiers down...

"Seattle Stalker Apprehended. Don't Worry, Mostly Harmless."

In other news: Doug Wall & Co. are out of the state until mid-August. I'm going to a wedding on Saturday. Greg won his first round of poker on Monday, and placed on Tuesday. Beerman & Lamb will be in town next week for the 4th, and I'm kicking butt at work. Cheers!

My world

I went to visit the New World of Coca-Cola this past weekend. It was much cooler than the old world for a few reasons:

1. It looks better from the outside. It has this really cool giant Coke bottle inside a see-through box sitting on the roof, and there's a large field and a small lake right out front as well.

2. The Happiness Factory: a small theatre which has a behind-the-scenes look of the magic that goes into making every bottle of Coke, (which I think is one of the better commercials out there right now). In fact, Coke has several commercials that I like. But the Happiness Factory is the one that shows you what happens after you put your money into the Coke machine... Very impressive CG!

3. The Polar Bear: When I first heard that you could have your picture taken with one of the Coca-Cola Polar Bears, I thought it would be a giant animatronic, but no, this was a real-live TRAINED Polar Bear. When I arrived, the bear had to go on a break, so I didn't get to hang out with him too much, but it was still quite cool to see. Here's a picture!

4. The 4-D Theatre Experience!! This thing was so cool. You had 3-D glasses, and you watched this movie about two people searching for the secret formula of Coke. If you were flying in the air, you felt the air in the theatre. If someone sprayed water on you, you actually got squirted in the face with water. Haha, awesome!

5. The only thing missing was the machine that would send an arc of Coca-Cola to your cup from 15 feet away. I missed that, but the "Taste of Coke" area was popular as ever. You could sample over 40 different drinks that Coke makes across the world. It was pretty chic.

I was planning on going to the Aquarium with my family, but I forgot I had turned off my phone, and they left without me. By the time I realized what had happened, it was too late -- they traded my ticket in for some sort of "Jazz Night" at the Aquarium later this month.

No worries though, I just hung out in the Coca-Cola store and played the Wii they had set up in the back. I'm pretty much awesome at Baseball!

Tonight is poker at Doug's if anyone is interested, other than that, not too much has happened. I highly recommend checking out the New World of Coke sooner rather than later. Cheers!

My recap

Wow. It's been three weeks since my last blog post on here. That's crazy talk, man!

A bunch of stuff has happened in that time frame as well. My neighbor still sends me txt messages at 1am asking if I am playing "really loud bass music" -- um. Nope. Not me. I know you've lived here 10 years and what-not, but buy a house out in the country if you want peace and quiet 24 hours a day!

I went to Savannah with Mike for Memorial Day weekend. I took a few pictures (read: 7), but I haven't posted them yet. It usually takes me anywhere from 1-3 months to get pictures I take online. Just ask Dana, she hounded me f-o-r-e-v-e-r to post her birthday picture from January. Ha!

Speaking of Dana, she and Dale are still together, and they are still talking about marriage. Which works for me, because Dale is from South Africa, and the World Cup is going to be there in 2010! So if I decide to go, he said I could stay with some of his friends and family.

I may also travel somewhere in Africa this summer with Drew (from the GEA), but when I told Dale I was thinking about going to Uganda, I kid you not... he yelled at me, "ARE YOU KIDDING?! Do you HAVE a death wish?!" Huh? Uh... no? I just want to see the Invisible Children! Awww... the children!

It's all good though, he said Egypt was nice to visit, or perhaps the Congo if we felt like going on a safari for a week or two. I'll let you know.

Anyhoo, I'm sure there are some events I missed, but I have to get to work. I'm on my "arrive on time" phrase this month. Oh, and this Tuesday is the June 722 at Northpoint. I'm kind of disappointed it's not Louie speaking, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I miss Louie...
