My 40 day birthday celebration

Today is my birthday. But it's not just any birthday, it's my 30th birthday! I was born on February the 8th at 12:26 AM. I love my birthday because a lot of good things happen around one's birthday, such as:

  1. Your parents finally asking if you just want cash this year. (yes, please!)
  2. Getting email notification after email notification that your friends posted HAPPY BIRTHDAY on your Facebook wall. (fact: 80% of all Facebook wall posts occur on your birthday... and I'm okay with that!)
  3. Receiving birthday presents in the mail from friends that live 3 or more states away. (I'm looking at you Jessica T.!)
Of course, the best thing surprise that's gone down this birthday is something I've now coined, 40 Days (and Nights) of Songs for Noah ('s Ark), courtesy of my very good friend (and occasional lover - jk), Jenny P.

Here's how it works: Every day, for 40 days, Jenny P. will gift me a song via iTunes to celebrate my birthday. How cool is that?! If you're not familiar, iTunes allows you to choose any song in their library and "gift" it to someone else. You type in his or her email address, enter a short description, and click Send! It's that simple.

I received Song #1 a day early...
So, I am starting a bit early because I am so excited to share some songs with you! I recently found this song and I love it! I hope you have an incredible birthday tomorrow! I have only been 30 myself for a bit, but it is a different birthday - it is quite a reflective age to hit and I am still adjusting to it!

You can count on me to be there for you if need someone to talk to about turning 30 or anything else!

Happy Birthday!!!!
Super fun, right? The song she sent me was called "Count On Me" by Bruno Mars, and I absolutely love it! I give everyone else I know permission to steal this idea for your own birthday celebrations!

In other news:
- I am having a big bowling party this weekend at 300 Atlanta, and everyone is invited! Send me an email for more details or RSVP directly with Melissa D. Cheers!
